Jazz Police Information Services is an on-line travel and entertainment information service that provides a dynamic portal of information to people on live jazz performances in cities where they are traveling.
The main purpose of membership to have the ability to tailor a user's web environment to the user's preferences. Members will also have access to an on-line discussion forum where they can comment on articles, and discuss venues and artists in target cities.
The Jazz Police website will be organized by city and will include information on venues, local artists, visiting national artists, restaurants and general tourist information. Artist information may include biographic information and reviews of CD's. An active data base of venue and artist information will be used to generate dynamic web pages based on user queries.
Features will include custom email messages sent to members before scheduled travel so they can print time-specific performance schedules and coupons for discounts on services and products in their destination city. This will have value for advertisers to predispose traveler to select their business and keep the advertised company name fresh in the minds of travelers when they depart. Information can be formatted so that it is downloadable to PDA's.
Members with web-enabled phones can access the site on the road from their phone.
