Leland has been writing and performing music almost as long as he can remember. His spirtuality and devotion to God and God's Christ come through clearly. Musical influences range from John Michael Talbot and the Newsboys to the Moody Blues and Deep Purple. Currently serving as a United Methodist pastor in Austin, Minnesota, he has served churches in Red Wing, Worthington, and Owatonna and has also performed at youth conventions, camps and for adult groups. He has a background in working with troubled youth and their families as a professional counselor as well. His blend of folk, rock and blues speaks to the heart, the soul, the mind and even tweaks the funny bone. His material can be used in holiday settings as well.
