There is a school of reformers that are revamping and resuscitating bluegrass as a genre. Fusing bluegrass with other musical forms, artists are allowing this art form to mellow out, morph, and experiment. The Creekbones are a part of this movement here in the Twin Cities. Their readiness to experiment allows this group to discover amazing sounds incorporating drums to give traditional bluegrass a backbone and tempo against which to lean. All members of the band are well versed in bluegrass, but each individuals influences are reflected in their style of play.
