Ellery

Nominated for three 2006 Cincinnati Entertainment Awards, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Folk/Americana Band of the Year.
From the Biography:
With a new moniker, the duo kicked off 2005 by releasing a new EP, Make Your Troubles Mine, which garnered tremendous critical acclaim in Ellerys home market -- as evidenced by a cover story in CiN Weekly, multiple features in Cincinnati CityBeat, and regular airplay on WNKU. The EP also captured national media attention, including a feature in Performing Songwriter. The duo expanded their touring activity to larger venues and new geographies. With the success of this EP, the duo attracted the interest of independent label Virt Records, which signed Ellery in late 2005. The duo returned to the studio with Ric Hordinski, adding five new tracks to the EP. The resulting full-length, Lying Awake, is an undeniably catchy album, boasting an even more developed sound, along with the lyrical craftsmanship Ellery's fans have come to expect. All eleven songs were written by Tasha and Justin.

The release of Lying Awake garnered increasing media attention, including widespread AAA radio airplay, songs on network television and HearMusic, inclusion on the Paste Magazine CD sampler, and multiple tours that took the duo to all corners of the US. Ellery has opened for artists such as Hem, Edwin McCain, Vienna Teng, Darden Smith, and Pierce Pettis.

From Columbia Free Times:
The husband-wife duo has been done before, but rarely with such grace and style as in the music of Ellery.
